Getting California’s K-12 Students Back to School

A report highlighting the decline in enrollment and attendance among California students, particularly students of color, students learning English, and students from low-income families, and emphasizing the need for state policymakers to implement policies that increase attendance rates, re-engage students who are not enrolled, and address the educational challenges exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic.
